Ghost
on the Tracks I heard this story form a
friend of mine who is an Imperial County Sheriff's officer. The year was 1996 in
the town of Winterhaven, California, right across the Colorado River from Yuma,
Arizona. The time was approximately 1:30 a.m. He said that he heard a call from
a sheriff's deputy, via the radio, that he was near the railroad tracks, not too
far from where he was, with a report of a young girl walking on the tracks. He
decided to head over to the direction that this other officer was located.
As he arrived at the
location near the railroad tracks, he noticed the officer outside of his
vehicle, standing in the direction of the train tracks. After pulling up next to
the other patrol car, my friend got out of his vehicle and walked over to the
other deputy officer. My friend said that the officer was trying to communicate
with a young girl who was walking on the track with some dogs. The young girl
was not saying anything to the officer, but just standing there looking down to
the ground. My friend said that he then
tried to communicate with the girl and she still did not respond to him. He said
that they then started to walk toward the young girl when she suddenly looked
up. My friend said that he stopped in his tracks and a cold chill went up his
spine. He said that the young girl was a young, local Indian girl who had died a
week prior walking on the same tracks. She and some friends had been walking on
the tracks trying to get to her uncle's house. She was the only one hit and
killed by the train. My friend said he just stood
there looking at this young girl still on the tracks. He then said that the girl
started running with dogs in pursuit of her down the railroad tracks. As quick
as she started to run down the tracks, she just vanished. The dogs that were in
pursuit of her were left baffled and scared. My friend said that he and the
other officer were shocked at what they had just witnessed. They got into their
vehicles and left the location. My friend is Native American
and he and his family believe in the paranormal. He was so frightened about the
incident with the young girl that the family had him go to the local lodge and
have him cleansed from the spirits.
Ghost Marine
Hello Supernatural fans. This is L.Cpl. Tagseth again, and I'm having trouble
kicking this story off the right way. Self-humiliation is always good, so I'll
just blame my horrible introduction to the fact that I'm an enlisted Marine. If
you're reading this then odds are that you've read my other story ?Barracks
Ghost?, and if you haven't, then I recommend that you read it before continuing
on. Basically it covers my ?spiritual? past, and it saves me explanation time if
you put forth the extra effort. Just to clear up any confusion, the following
text is not related to my first story. That experience took place at my last
duty station located in Meridian, MS, while this story takes place where I'm
currently stationed. Barracks 912, built during the early 1960?s, has been
through its fair share of hard years. One wall-locker in my room has graffiti
dating back to Vietnam; spray-painted in big red letters are phrases of things
like pain, and blood. It comes as no surprise that there are spooky events
taking place on a constant basis. Every time I enter in through the double
doors, I feel the presence of spirits, both good and bad. I should probably
mention that I am currently stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ.
Temperatures get up to 123 degrees Fahrenheit during the day, and it doesn't
cool down too much at night. The A/C in 912 doesn't work very well, and the temp
is normally around 95 degrees in my room, so lately I've had some sleepless
nights. About a week ago, I was tossing and turning, trying to find a
comfortable position finally I found comfort with my right shoulder propped up
against the wall. Suddenly I felt a sharp, stabbing-pain in my shoulder. I moved
over out of shock, and the pain went away immediately. I continued my search for
the optimal position, and once again I found peace against the wall. Only this
time, my left shoulder was touching the cement. Once again, I felt a pain in my
shoulder, and out of instinct I moved. Completely bewildered, I got up to go get
a drink of water. Upon my return I became aware of a supernatural presence in
the room. Standing in the darkest corner, concealed by shadows cast by my bunk,
was a tall apparition. I could barely make out ?his? silhouette, but his eyes on
the other hand stood out like two gleaming diamonds. I approached him, and he
disappeared in to thin air. I was getting a bad vibe for sure, and I
automatically prepared for the worst. In the Corps, we have a saying, ?Prepare
for the worst, and hope for the best.? I put myself wholeheartedly in to this
statement, hoping to gain any protection that it could offer. From that point
on, the night is a complete blur? He floated through walls, flew up through my
rack, and even did the typical howling thing. I tried to ?talk? to him, but to
no avail. If anything, this aggravated him even more at one point I made a
comment along the lines of, ?God, protect me.? Everything stopped for about a
minute, but he came back with a vengeance. Papers, CD's, movies and other
objects were hurled across the room. During this I heard a sharp ?twang? and I
knew that he had indeed broken my guitar strings. Eventually I couldn't take
anymore so I grabbed my uniform, put on some shoes and got out of dodge. Nothing
else has happened since that night, but I'll never be comfortable in my room
again. Actually, I'm supposed to be moving to brand-new barracks within the next
few weeks, and believe you me, I'm not complaining. In retrospect, I would
definitely have to say that Shallow Hal, as me and my roommate have taken to
calling him, is a demon. The absence of light around his form is a serious
indicator, plus his response to the statement I made asking for God's
protection. Many people have seen him, along with a plethora of other ghosts, so
I would guess that there is more info on this subject. On the other hand, most
Marines would rather get smashed than write a story, so you might not find
anything else. If you wish to, don't hesitate to contact me at one of my email
addresses. Also, on a separate note, thank you to everyone who has emailed me
with his or her questions, and comments. Peace, and until next time.

From: Holly Adams 8-13-04 In the years of 1994-1997 I worked as a miner at the Picacho Peak mining
company in Imperial County California which sits 20 miles north of Yuma Arizona. This mine
has been in operation off an on since the Spanish Conquistadors first set foot in the new
world. In the 1800's a mining town was built four miles north of the site. It was
tragically washed away in a flood in the early 1900s. I was a heavy-equipment
operator stuck on the graveyard shift. I would put in my 12 hours and head back to the
company van exhausted. I usually would sleep the entire way home, but one morning was
different
We drove past a small miners cemetery. I saw what appeared to be a
old timer (miner) with a lantern in hand watching us drive past. I had to do a double take
because I wasn't really believing what I was seeing. He had this look on his face that
screamed "get off my claim and stop taking my gold". I kept looking back and
eventually saw the man vanish. I didn't tell anyone in the van because I was a fairly a
new employee, and I didn't want the other guys to think I was a nut case. Eventually I
befriended Lou, another co-worker stuck on the graveyard shift. Lou was a 25 year veteran
of the mining industry, and you as you can imagine had hundreds of stories. Even some
ghost stories... He told me that he had glimpsed the same miner I had seen several times.
He believes the man died suddenly before having a chance to collect his gold. Another
night Lou and I experienced something together. We were replacing some old piping when I
felt a tap on my shoulder. I glanced over at Lou, who was oblivious. A few minutes later
he looked up at me abruptly and said something had tapped him on the shoulder. We got off
the ore heap as fast as we could, and avoided it the rest of the night. On another
occasion Lou and I were driving up the haul road headed towards the heap. There was a
suddenly a light so bright that the entire mountain wall was illuminated. This ended up
happening six different times, and we never did discover the source of the brilliance I no
longer work at the Picacho mine but that doesn't stop me form going out there on my days
off. I just don't dare go out there by myself at night. 8-13-04 AUNT MARIA Dear Yuma Spirit Hunters, I'm not sure if this qualifies as a haunting or not, but nonetheless very Just a note after receiving this e-mail the Yuma Spirit Hunter
Team traveled to Gadsden and took some readings. We found nothing out of the ordinary the
day we went there. This does not mean its not a haunted area it may just mean that at the
time we were there the energy was not right for the anomaly to manifest itself .Visitor Submitted Ghost Story's

Subject: My Dead Friend
Date: Sat, 27 Aug 2005 21:45:20 -0700 (PDT)
Hi, Just want to relate the experiences we have had in the double wide we own now. My
friend and her family used to live here, until she died quite suddenly one night. To our
great unhappiness, we all finally came to terms with Sue's death in a couple of years. We
had a chance to buy the property at a good price, so we took it.
After being settled in, I noticed some noises occasionally coming from the front bathroom
where Sue died. Thought at first it was my over active imagination, but got enuff nerve to
ask my hubby if he noticed noises from the bathroom especially late at night (thats when
she passed on). He thought he heard noises, too and said it is just Sue. Didn't seem to
bother him..
Anyways, I asked our son if he had noticed any commotion to which he said, one night in
the livingroom while he sat watching TV by himself, he heard footsteps coming into the
livingroom from the hallway, and saw the loveseat cushion depress like someone sitting on
it,and then someone call out his name: Mannon. Totally freaked him, he said, and he ran to
his room and put his head under covers..
How can there be 'footsteps' when we have carpeting? Well, another time, I was up late
playing a game on the puter, when noises started again in the front bathroom, only this
time, they were really loud. I got a feeling that Sue was there, I could feel her presence
in the hallway. My Yorkie's hair was standing up while she looked into the hallway and
barked at whatever was there. I KNOW Sue was there, but I was just toooo chicken to look.
Everyone else was in bed, it was just me and my little Yorkie up late that night (due to
my husband excessive snoring). Since then, Sue had visited a number of times, making the
the Yorkie bark and waking me up.
I finally told Sue one night that she needs to go toward the Light, go to God. I
re-assured her that her children are alright and its time for her to let go and be with
God. After that, much of noises and visitations had stopped, but..there are a occassional
thump or bump in the bathroom. I think she may not like way it gets messy from our son.
Plus, we are redecorating it, and I know that can bring back spirits.
Sincerely,
Holly Adams

A long time ago, when I was only four years old, Aunt Maria moved in with my family. Since
we only had a three bedroom house, Aunt Maria had to sleep with me. My bed wasnt
very big, but we managed to fit. The only problem was that Aunt Maria had back problems
that made the arrangement uncomfortable for both of us. One night dad told me I had to
sleep with him and my mom for now on; I didnt think anything of it, everybody knew
the sleeping arrangements were no good as they were. But later my oldest brother told me
that Aunt Marias back was not why I was taken from the room. He told me that one
night as we slept, my dad walked by the room and felt something really cold in his feet;
he looked down and saw icy smoke coming up from the floor. My aunt said she believed I had
an energy that was causing strange things to happen in the night, and that was the real
reason dad wanted me to sleep with him and mom. The next night in their bedroom I awoke to
find the room was full of flames! I woke up mom, but she couldnt see it, she told me
it was my imagination. I became so hysterical I eventually ended up in counseling, which
led to me being taken to a witch doctor. I cant remember anything from the doctor,
only that he shook an egg on top of me. My aunt moved out as a result of this. Nine years
later my aunt came back to live with us. I had not forgotten our past, and was afraid to
share a room with her. I moved to the living room couch. Shortly after her re-arrival, I
got up to got to the restroom. Suddenly I saw smoke coming out of my bedroom where Aunt
Maria slept. It brought back my childhood memories, and I realized my madness
had stopped after my aunt moved on. Now that she was back, I was seeing the same visions I
had experienced as a four-year-old. I told my mom about it and she also made the
connection that I would only act strange when my aunt was with us. She eventually took my
aunt and me to a witch doctor. They started shaking the egg like before, and they were
talking gibberish. I could not feel a thing, but could see the egg flying back and forth.
Then Aunt Maria walked into the room. We heard screaming, and the egg cracked. There was a
knot in the yolk! Things have never been the same between my family and my aunt since.

Hello, and thank you in advance for your time. My name is Kyle, and I have a strong
interest in ghost-related research, including voice-phenomena recordings as well as
various forms of ITC (such as the instrumental transcommunication research done by Mark
Macy and others). Here's a link to my Web page of anomalous photos:
http://www.geocities.com/kyledayton/ghostphotos.html
All of the photographs on the Web page were taken by me. The first three photos were taken
in early 1999, during a long road trip from Tombstone, Arizona to Seattle, Washington,
while the 7 photos of the so-called Lady in Gray were taken via webcam. The photograph
taken at Knight Hall at Pacific University, appears to be of a pinkish orb, and the
building is supposedly haunted by a ghost known as "Vera". I've also had other
anomalous experiences, ghostly and close-up, ever since I was a small child. Certainly
broadens one's perspective toward life as we know it and beyond, to say the least...am
grateful for the awareness.
For at least the past few months, my border collie, Chi-dog, has been barking at, and
playfully chasing, what appears to be just thin air. He chases things that only his eyes
can see; whether indoors or outside, he seems to have made up his own game, and even when
none of the other family members are in the same room with him, you can hear him barking
and running around in circles, or up and down the hallways, apparently chasing nothing.
And during the times that he isn't playing this game, all I have to do is simply point
toward the sky (or ceiling, etc.), then Chi will look at me before looking upward for a
few seconds, and then he starts chasing nothing again. On and on he plays this game, often
for upwards of a half-hour or more at a time. He's a young, healthy, energetic dog,
approximately five years old, with good eyesight, and other than this new
"game", his overall behavior is that of a normal, apparently well-adjusted,
happy house pet that gets tons of positive attention and reinforcement from the family.
Also, years ago when I was a child, my family (parents, brother and I) lived in a house in
northern Indiana (address: 760 Timberline Pkwy., Valparaiso [South Haven], IN); many
anomalous things happened on the property, including something unseen that used to disturb
the heck out of our long-since-deceased then-family dog; that poor animal felt something
apparently threatening there, and often responded by growling, or growling while chasing
thin air, or running past people to apparently attack 'nothing' behind them, etc. While
growing up in that house, I remember having really heavy-duty nightmares there, as well as
(during waking hours, and many times) two specific lamps in particular would frequently
turn on, then off, or vice versa, or sometimes turn themselves on or off when no one had
been in the room. Each of the two aforementioned lamps had a bell-shaped metal cover
'lampshade', which surrounded a single light bulb, and both [lamps] were of the same
hanging-design variety and manufacture; they each had a small on/off knob on the side of
the top part of their metal lampshade, and they were located in two separate rooms located
down the hall from each other.
Thank you again for your time. Just felt like sharing!
All the best to you folks,
Kyle Dayton, in Phoenix, Arizona

peculiar. Okay one night while driving down highway 95 just out of gasden, on
that first curve, me and three others saw something very weird. We were just
hitting the curve when all of the sudden there is this bright flash of light,
and this cloud or smoke or something just "runs across the road. Now I know
what smoke looks like or fog and this was not see through. It was like really
concentrated and bright for some reason. when it appeared on the road we all
saw the same thing. The thing looked like it had a figure but then it suddenly
hunched over like if trying to get speed or something. Well anyway, the thing
goes by so fast we are too shocked to do anything except keep driving, but we
did see where it went. It headed in a southeast direction still bright or
glowing a strange white color. Very weird in my opinion. But this wasn't the
only time we saw it. Me and my brothers and a friend were coming back from
Yuma after having dinner, when yet again this big and I mean big flashing
light comes out of nowhere. We thought is was the cops at first but no there
was nothing around us. The sky was clear and the moon was out. the light was
bright like a strobe light all around our car.
I've asked other people if anything like this ever happened to them and some of
them have told me of their similar experiences. Weird no.
